Valca Autoladles® |
| |
|

|
- No moving parts. The Autoladle is a pressure-pour
vessel. Only the one-piece ceramic crucible (manufactured from a
refractory developed to resist oxide buildup and metal penetration)
is submerged
in the molten metal. No metal can splash on the floor or equipment.
- Self-contained.
The Autoladle is not an integral part of the furnace. Should the
furnace shut down, the Autoladle can be reinstalled in a spare
furnace quickly. Thus automatic production is only down temporarily
while the original furnace is being repaired.
- No metal contamination.
Since the ceramic crucible is the only submerged part, there is no
metallic contamination of the molten bath.
- No
surface metal. All metal delivered to the casting machine is
pumped from below
the surface, so surface dross inclusions are eliminated.
- Uninterrupted
casting. The furnace can be charged at any time without affecting
the Autoladle's operation.
- Adjustable shot size. Just reset the
timer to change the shot size. There are no ladles to change.
- Precise
shot size. The metal level in the furnace will not affect the Autoladle
shot size (within model design parameters).
In
most cases up
to 8" of metal can be used before the furnace has
to be recharged.
- Simplified controls. Autoladle controls
are simple and
easy to adjust and maintain. Plant air in a range of
60-125 psi
is used.
- Ladling range. Each model has a wide range of
shot sizes. (See table below.)
- Quiet operation. Since the Autoladle
works off of plant air, no blowers are needed. Thus noise level is
greatly
reduced.
