Corrtherm Element Pit Furnace
Lindberg® Corrtherm® element pit furnaces feature direct electric
heating in carburizing atmospheres. Thick cross-section, low-voltage
Corrtherm heating elements completely eliminate the need for a furnace
retort, even in high-carbon atmospheres. Because heat is radiated directly
to the work, the chamber can be of very large diameter without sacrificing
temperature uniformity. |

Cyclone Electric Pit Furnace
Cyclone® electric-powered pit furnaces are capable of temperatures
up to 1250°F (1400°F optional). The furnaces have a separate
heating/fan chamber that provides heat to the work chamber. The workload
is heated by a unique re-circulating convection heating system that forces
pressurized air through the load at high velocity. |

Cyclone Gas-Fired Pit Furnace
CYCLONE gas-fired pit furnaces are capable of temperatures up to 1250°F
(1400°F optional). The furnaces have a separate heating/fan chamber
that provides heat to the work chamber. The workload is heated when the
supply gas is burned in the heating chamber then pressurized by a rapidly
circulating fan. Pressure above the load, and suction below, force the
heated gases through the load at high velocity with minimal temperature
drop. |

Cyclone Electric Retort Pit Furnace
Electric-powered pit furnaces with built-in retort available in single
or two-stage nitriding systems. CYCLONE electric-powered pit furnaces
are capable of temperatures up to 1250°F (1400°F optional). The
furnaces have a separate heating/fan chamber that provides heat to the
work chamber. The workload is heated by a unique re-circulating convection
heating system that forces pressurized air through the work chamber at
high velocity. A “suspended” fan shroud mates with either
the basket or baffle to provide a closed path of circulation when the
cover is closed. |

HOMOCARB® Pit Furnace
The Lindberg HOMOCARB® furnace is an electrically heated pit style
furnace capable of temperatures up to 1750°F. The furnace is top
loading with sealed-alloy retort. Ribbon-type electric heating elements
provide high heat transfer efficiency. An internal fan provides excellent
distribution of the atmosphere gases and ensures uniform carburization. |
| |
 |
HOMO® Nitriding Pit Furnace
Lindberg HOMONITRIDING furnaces are electrically heated pit furnaces
specifically designed for nitriding applications. They are available
in single or two-stage nitriding systems. |
| |
 |
HOMO® Tempering Pit Furnace
The Lindberg HOMO® tempering furnace is an electrically heated pit
style furnace capable of temperatures up to 1400°F. The furnace is
top loading with a gasket-sealed work chamber. Heavy-gauge alloy spiral
heaters completely surround the work load providing high heat transfer
efficiency. |

Pit Furnace Companion Quench Tank
The Lindberg Companion Quench Tanks feature agitators situated in close
fitting draft tubes; these in combination with flow straighteners and
baffles positively direct the quenchantl to all parts of the load. Thus,
the heat is rapidly removed from the work load to assure the best quench
possible. Quench tanks are available for use with water, oil, polymer
and salt. |

Rod Overbend Element Pit Furnace
Lindberg Rod Overbend (RO) Pit furnaces are electrically powered pit
furnaces suitable for a wide range of heat treat applications. The round
cross-section of RO elements gives excellent long-term stability with
minimal resistance change. |

 |
Steam HOMO® Pit Furnace
The Lindberg Steam HOMO® furnace is an electrically heated pit style
furnace capable of temperatures up to 1250°F. Its compact size is
ideal for direct production line installation. The furnace includes a
steam injection system that produces work with superior wear and corrosion
resistance and longer life. |

Pit Furnace Companion Washer
Used independently or as part of a pit furnace line, Lindberg versatile
washers provide fast efficient washing of heat treat loads whether they
are integrated into a complete pit furnace system or used with other
heat treat equipment. Water temperatures of up to 180°F. |
