HYAM Ammonia Dissociator
Lindberg HYAM Ammonia Dissociators are self-contained systems that produce
atmospheres, used in heat treating, by dissociating anhydrous ammonia
into the components of hydrogen (75%) and nitrogen (25%). The process
is done by passing raw ammonia, supplied as a vapor from cylinders or
tanks, over a heated catalyst (1850-1900°F). The atmosphere produced
is then fed to the appropriate piece of heat treating equipment.
